Tim Raines is the founder and principal of Rare Innovation and the Program Director for India Innovation Partners. Tim is also Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at Ringling College of Art & Design. Tim delivers business development leadership to guide innovations from mind-to-market, across the globe. Tim has served programs and clients in India, Korea, Ukraine, Columbia, Mexico, Hungary, Germany, France, and many clients in the US.

 

Tim joined IC2 Institute’s Global Commercialization Group (GCG) full time in 2007 and headed up the INVITE Mexico program as well as simultaneously supporting programs in India and Hungary. While at IC2, Tim also published articles in nationally recognized journals on developing and maintaining creative cities and economic innovation clusters. Prior to joining the GCG, Tim received his Masters in Science and Technology Commercialization from The University of Texas in partnership with the IC2 Institute. 

 

Rare Innovation continues to serve the needs of international clients as well as university offices of technology transfer as well as securing funding for private R&D clients from the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), all branches of the US Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy, and National Science Foundation. Additionally, Tim has served as a panel member for the NIH and DoD as a technology evaluator.
